educate the community about the benefits of its preservation through
involvement of the entire community.

Downtown Shawnee would like to retain a vibrant mix of quality shops,
professional services, restaurants and entertainment establishments,
while maintaining a safe, friendly small-town pedestrian oriented
atmosphere for locals and tourists. Downtown Shawnee’s progressive
businesses and continued expansion, as well as its promotion efforts,
and appreciation of historic treasures will strengthen our sense of
